Trip Overview

Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey to the sacred lands of Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar with Amazing Nepal Trek & Expedition. This 10-day overland pilgrimage tour takes you through the mesmerizing landscapes of the Himalayas, blending spiritual discovery, cultural immersion, and natural beauty into one unforgettable experience.

Your adventure begins in Kathmandu, the cultural and spiritual heart of Nepal. Explore ancient temples, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and vibrant local markets that reflect the country’s rich Hindu and Buddhist traditions. After a day of exploration and spiritual orientation, prepare to venture into the majestic highlands that bridge Nepal and Tibet.

As you journey north, cross the Nepal-Tibet border and ascend through the dramatic Himalayan terrain. Experience breathtaking vistas and high-altitude serenity as you pass through towns like Gyirong, Saga, and Paryang. These stops are not just for acclimatization but also for immersing yourself in the Tibetan culture, traditions, and hospitality that are deeply connected to Buddhist spirituality.

The spiritual epicenter of the trip is the legendary Lake Manasarovar, revered in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Bon traditions. Located at 4,590 meters above sea level, this sacred freshwater lake is believed to cleanse sins and purify the soul. Take part in ritual bathing, meditate by the serene shores, and absorb the divine energy of this high-altitude sanctuary surrounded by the snow-capped Gurla Mandhata range.

The journey continues to Darchen, the base camp for the sacred Mount Kailash Kora (Parikrama). Rising 6,638 meters high, Mount Kailash is considered the throne of Lord Shiva and the center of the universe in ancient cosmology. The three-day trek around Mount Kailash is both physically demanding and spiritually transformative, traversing rocky terrains, glacial valleys, and the daunting Dolma La Pass (5,630 m) – the highest point of the trek.

Along the Kora, you’ll encounter ancient Tibetan monasteries, prayer flags fluttering in the wind, and fellow pilgrims from around the world, all drawn to the mystical energy of this sacred mountain. The experience is intense yet deeply rewarding, offering moments of introspection, spiritual connection, and awe-inspiring views.

After completing the Parikrama, return overland through the dramatic Tibetan plateau back to Kathmandu. Reflect on your journey as you descend from the heights of spiritual awakening back to the bustling valley of Nepal’s capital. This overland tour leaves you not only with lasting memories and stunning photographs but also a profound sense of inner peace and accomplishment..
