Trip Overview

Amazing Nepal Trek & Expedition presents Budget Everest Base Camp Trek 11 days (GAP) package to all those trekkers who have limited days holiday and budget, but also keen interest to touch the Base Camp of Mt. Everest(5,365m/17,601ft). This trek itinerary has only one acclimatization day but don’t worry! we promise to provide you with the equal thrill as any of the other trekking packages.

You start your hike from Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft), a gateway to the Khumbu region, after a 35-minute Mountain flight from Kathmandu. The trail then ascends through deep rhododendron forest, small Sherpa settlements, and farmlands. You then enter Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and reach Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,287ft).

As you gradually climb higher the temperature drops gradually down. The vegetation changes to alpine shrub and the scenery becomes more dramatic towards the last village called Gorakshep. You will then stroll along the Khumbu Glacier to Everest Base Camp (5,365m/17,601m) opposite the Khumbu Ice Fall. An early climb of Kala Patthar (5545m/18192ft) offers the most amazing 360-degree panoramic views of Mt. Everest (8,848m/29,028ft) and other snowcapped peaks.

Returning the same route is relatively faster and less demanding. The trek can be accomplished all year round, but Spring and Autumn season are best. Our 11 days Budget Everest Base Camp Trek (GAP) package includes Permits, Trek Guide, Local Porters, Mountain Accommodation and Transport for both air and ground.

Trip Highlights

  • Scenic mountain flight to and from Lukla
