Trip Overview

Short Manaslu Circuit Trek is a thrilling journey that explores one of the best off-beaten routes in Nepal. Trekking through the Manaslu Conservation Area, the journey gently rides the highs and lows of the foothills around the Manaslu Himalayas. The Tibetan lifestyle and magnificent bio-diversity will offer surreal company as you head towards the Larkya La Pass (5160m). Additionally, it is a shorter and better version of the classic circuit around the mountains in Manaslu range.

Exiting the Kathmandu Valley to the west, the drive joins the Prithvi Highway along the Trishuli River. For the final part of the drive, the Budhi Gandaki River will run along the road to Soti Khola. Continuing along the Budhi Gandaki River, you walk on fairly even trails towards Machha Khola. As the altitude increases quite rapidly, the trek heads to Jagat. Entering the western skirt of the Tsum Valley, you march through the Manaslu Conservation Area. As the Tibetan influence begin to increase, the adventure settles at Namrung. The Himalayas in Ganesh and Manaslu ranges seem clearer as you make way to Samagaon. Here, you can explore the village and nearby monasteries. Destinations like the Birendra Lake and Pung Gyen are also ideal for acclimatization. Moreover, they also help you to understand the ancient culture that dictates the lives of the people in these regions. The trek continues as you make your way to Dharamsala. After preparing yourself for the climb, the ascent to the Larkya La Pass (5160m) culminates the Short Manaslu Circuit Trek. Short Manaslu Circuit Trek - 11 Days
Saskia, Nederlands

We went with the 2 of us end of April until half May.
We had a great trekking with guide Lakpa and porter Sonam. The scenery is just stunning! Also, teahouses and food is pretty good up there.

We originally booked Manaslu circuit with tsum valley (around 21 days). But as time went we decided to not go to Tsum valley. They told us there was a dangerous part at that time in Tsum valley, so we didn't feel confident enough. (just know that the paths in Tsum valley are not as developed as the paths around Manaslu as we were told be other tourists). It would be nice if we would have known that beforehand. Since we didn't have a lot of experience. We even would say some parts of Manaslu can be 'adventurous!! But this is where you need your guide for :):):)

After we decided not to do tsum valley we took it slowly and had some easy days of walking. Lakpa was really flexible so I think we changed our itinerary daily;).

We had an amazing experience and got more confident every day as Lakpa and Sonam were helping us at the difficult moments.
Definitely would recommend this agency! Just let you inform wel about tsum valley. The mountains change all the time.

A group of 6 friends decided to go with Amazing Nepal Trek for our trip to the Himalayas and we certainly have no regrets.

We were greeted at the Kathmandu airport by Mr. Tej Karki who turned out to be our guide for the duration of our hike. He was the most helpful guide one could ask for, from advising us on what clothes we should have to negotiating prices for us in Kathmandu, from ensuring we pace ourselves to avoid altitude sickness to literally keeping one of our buddies safe as he struggled with the cold during the trip.

Overall, it was an eye opening enjoyable experience and I'm glad we chose Amazing Nepal.

What an amazing experience! Have just returned from a 11 day Manaslu trek with Amazing Nepal Trek and can honestly say it was an experience of a lifetime. The trek itself is stunning and so much variety as you walk from lowlands up into the alpine area of the Larkye La then down again, but what made it super special was undoubtedly the personality, attentiveness and leadership of our guide Kami and porter Hari and Dev. Had so much fun with this crew and felt extremely safe, well organised, well informed and really appreciated learning so much about Nepal and the Nepalese way of life. I would recommend this trek and company to anyone wanting to do Manaslu. Kami managed our group of 4 trekkers extremely well; in our group 3 of us are over 50 and we had one 16 year old so were a little apprehensive about our physical fitness and ability to acclimatise, however under Kami’s guidance and care we all completed the circuit comfortably and in good health and had a fabulous time because of it. Highly recommended!!

Amazing Nepal Trek handled the entire trek, including permits, transportation, accommodations, airport transfers, etc. Our guide, Rajan was always a step ahead and made real time adjustments to the schedule, stops, etc. to be sure we considered weather, elevation, other groups and such. Our entire group of 9 people successfully completed all 11 days. The Asst Guides and Porters were always happy, in good spirits and as helpful as they possibly could be. They provided quality sleeping bags, waterproof duffel bags, and down coats if needed. The quality was so good, many of us purchased the same products for future use. Amazing Nepal definitely knows what they are doing and goes out of their way to make sure you have the best experience possible. 5 stars and a huge thumbs up for the entire operation!!!

Raju, my guide, was incredibly kind and knowledgeable about the entire trek. Always happy to answer all the questions that I had. A great, hardworking, and trustworthy guide who helped me achieve the trip of a lifetime. We had a best trek ever, making it all the way over Larkya-La. I highly recommend Amazing Nepal Trek and Expedition for your trekking in Nepal. They are professional, respectful, and really good at what they do.

They also do a fantastic job at making you think that the days won't be as absurdly difficult as they are, which helps morale, especially at 17,000 feet!
