Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu – Warm Welcome and Introduction to Nepal

As your student group lands at Tribhuvan International Airport, you’ll be greeted with traditional Nepali hospitality — flower garlands and smiles. A comfortable transfer will take you to your hotel in the vibrant heart of Kathmandu. In the evening, enjoy a warm welcome dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant. Students will witness a live cultural performance featuring folk music and ethnic dances, setting the tone for a memorable student visit to Nepal. Afterward, take a guided walk through the bustling streets of Thamel to feel the rhythm of the capital city.

Day 02: UNESCO World Heritage Sites Exploration – Cultural & Spiritual Immersion

Begin your day with a deep dive into Nepal’s sacred and historical landmarks. Visit the revered Pashupatinath Temple, a significant Hindu site where you’ll observe rituals on the banks of the Bagmati River — an enlightening moment of cross-cultural learning. Next, head to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the world’s largest Buddhist stupas, surrounded by prayer wheels and monk chants — an incredible atmosphere for students studying religion or anthropology. In the afternoon, ascend to Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) for panoramic views of the valley and insights into Buddhist symbolism. End the day with a walk around Kathmandu Durbar Square, filled with temples, palaces, and centuries of royal history.

Day 03: Traditional Village Life – Bungmati and Khokana Cultural Field Visit

Travel back in time as you enter Bungmati and Khokana, two Newar villages that still retain their medieval charm. Students will walk along narrow stone paths, witness traditional woodcarving workshops, and observe mustard oil being pressed in age-old methods. Interactions with locals provide authentic opportunities for cultural exchange in Nepal. This day gives students a glimpse into sustainable village life, community farming, and traditional architecture — offering academic enrichment across disciplines like sociology, development studies, and architecture.

Day 04: Patan and Bhaktapur – Art, Craft & Heritage Study Tour

Today’s focus is on Nepal’s legendary art and craftsmanship. In Patan Durbar Square, students will explore a treasure trove of ancient temples and the fascinating Patan Museum, which displays sacred art and iconography. Then, drive to Bhaktapur, known as Nepal’s ‘Living Museum.’ Walk through Pottery Square, admire the Nyatapola Temple, and experience the artistic legacy of Newar culture firsthand. This day serves as a perfect introduction to urban heritage conservation and Nepalese aesthetics. In the evening, you’ll head to Dhulikhel, a serene hill town ideal for peaceful reflection and spectacular Himalayan views.

Day 05: Dhulikhel to Namobuddha, back to Kathmandu via Panuti Village

After breakfast, travel to Namobuddha Monastery, a sacred Buddhist site tied to legends of compassion and selflessness. Students will learn about Buddhist monastic life, meditation practices, and the philosophical roots of compassion. Then proceed to Panauti, an ancient riverside town home to remarkable temples and vibrant festivals. Panauti also serves as an excellent example of sustainable tourism and rural heritage preservation. This day blends spirituality, history, and rural sociology — offering academic learning in Nepal outside the classroom. Return to Kathmandu by evening.

Day 07: Return to Kathmandu – Cultural Market Walk and Farewell

After breakfast, return to Kathmandu and spend the afternoon exploring the vibrant local markets of Thamel and Ason Bazaar. This is a great time for students to pick up locally made souvenirs like pashminas, singing bowls, and handwoven bags. In the evening, gather for a farewell dinner featuring more delicious Nepali cuisine and music. Students will receive small mementos and certificates of participation, making it a meaningful close to their student cultural tour in Nepal.

Day 08: Departure – Fond Farewell to Nepal

After breakfast, say goodbye to Nepal as you’re transferred to the airport for your onward journey. As students leave, they take with them not only souvenirs but unforgettable memories, a deeper appreciation for Nepalese culture, and personal growth through immersive travel in Nepal.
