Trip Overview

Everest Base Camp is the most popular adventure destination that attracts thousands of travelers from all around the World. Mount Everest's soaring summit has been always wondered for adventure lovers. The Everest Base Camp Trek - 13 Days also makes it possible for novice trekkers to explore this natural wonder with experts and well-trained trekking guides. Simply breathtaking scenery with parades of glistening peaks, stunning glaciers around, ancient Buddhist Monasteries with the fascinating Sherpa hospitality, their habitat, culture, and tradition are the main attractions.

Trekking to the lap of Mount Everest is not easy but with strong willpower and a couple of acclimatization days in between, makes your adventure journey possible. You start this trek on 30 min flight to Lukla, the gateway of the Khumbu region. The trail then ascends through deep rhododendron forests, small Sherpa settlements, and farmlands. Then you enter Sagarmatha National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and reach Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,287ft).

As you gradually climb higher the temperature drops gradually down. The greenery changes to alpine shrubs and the scenery becomes more dramatic towards the last Sherpa settlement called Gorakshep. You will then stroll along the Khumbu Glacier to Everest Base Camp (5,365m/17,601m) opposite the Khumbu Icefall. Next early morning you will climb up to Kala Patthar (5545m/18192ft), which offers breathtaking views of Everest (8,848m/29,028ft) and other snowcapped peaks. You will find it much faster and easier to return to Lukla through the same route. You can accomplish this trek all year round, however you will find more volume of trekkers during the Spring and Autumn along this famous route. Day 10: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft), 6-7hrs

Today’s trail takes you through Debouche and Tengboche, where you’ll descend into rhododendron forests. After a long descent, you’ll reach Phunki Thenga, then climb to Sanasa. From here, you’ll enjoy a broader trail leading back to Namche Bazaar for another overnight stay.

Day 11: Trek to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft), 6-7hrs

On this day, you’ll descend back to Lukla, retracing the steps from your first days of trekking. As you complete your trek, you’ll celebrate the end of your adventure. The evening is a time for joy and reflection on the incredible journey.

Day 12: Fly Back to Kathmandu

You’ll catch a morning flight back to Kathmandu. After checking in to your hotel, you’ll have a farewell dinner at a restaurant in Thamel that serves continental cuisine.

Trekking safety includes pulse oximeter checks, emergency oxygen availability, prompt descent plans if needed, and experienced guides trained in altitude illness recognition and first response.

Is there mobile or Wi-Fi connectivity?

Limited mobile signal is available in Namche, Tengboche, Dingboche, and Gorak Shep. Wi‑Fi is available in select teahouses at an extra charge.

What is the support crew composition?

You will be supported by a licensed English-speaking guide, an assistant guide (if group size warrants), and porters (one porter for every two trekkers). All crew members are insured and experienced.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes—insurance covering high-altitude trekking, helicopter evacuation, medical care, and trip cancellation is essential.

Should I schedule extra days before and after the trek?

What our customer says about this package.

EBC trek - outstanding!

Decided to do something 'epic' with my daughter for my 50th - perfect choice!
Santosh responded fully and quickly to all questions prior to the trip - very professional.
On arrival in Nepal, we were completely looked after - met at airport, lovely quiet hotel near the busy Thamel central area, down jacket and sleeping bag arranged, flights to Lukla.
Prem (our guide) and Dhurba (our porter) were amazing. Each evening we had a prep meeting for the next day. They made sure food and accommodation en route were on point and we enjoyed playing cards and sharing time with them. Fabulous guys - we couldn't have done it without them.
The team had even arranged a birthday cake for me to cut at EBC (we arrived there on my birthday) which we shared with an expedition team and Sherpas in Camp.
Any problems which arose were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Totally professional and highly recommended 10/10

EBC

We just completed the Everest Base Camp trek and were very happy with the Amazing Nepal Trek team. From our first emails with Mr. Santosh to our first meeting on arrival in Nepal...Mr. Santosh was professional and ensured our trip was perfect. Our guide Mr. Prem was even better than we could have ever expected. He knew many people along the way and always tried to accommodate whatever request we had. He was informative and kind. He has done over 100 trips to EBC from the time he was a porter and now including his trips as a guide. His smile and his laugh brightened our days and we are so happy to have done this trek with him. Our porter Yubraj was also phenomenal. He was always close ahead or behind with our big bag. He is also very experienced with over 60 EBC treks. It turned out after our 11 day trek that we were stuck in Lukla due to weather disrupting flights. Mr. Santosh and the team were able to arrange a helicopter to fly us and some other clients back to Kathmandu. We were very fortunate to leave as only two heli flights left that day and there were 300+ people waiting in Lukla. This team went above and beyond and we would recommend them over and over. In fact we're hoping to send our parents with them next year! Thank you Mr. Santosh, Prem, and Yubraj!

Everest Base Camp Trek

I felt very lucky to start out the 2017 new year with a bang doing the Everest BC trek with Amazing Nepal Trek. I have no exact word to explain that incredible journey.

From the moment we landed at Kathmandu airport, we were so well taken care of. We didn’t have to worry about anything as everything was sorted for us I.e shuttles, accommodation, food.

If you are planning to go to Nepal, I would recommend strongly doing your tour with this company. I felt more lucky to have Prem as my trekking guide. He took such amazing care of us throughout the trek. He was not only a guide, he became a good friend. Guides definitely make or break the trip, and I definitely would not have made it to EBC and Kala Pathar without him. I can’t recommend Prem enough if you want a safe and unforgettable journey!

13 days Everest Base Camp trek

It has been my dream to do EBC Trekking since my childhood. This dream was made possible this year 2018 by the great team from Amazing Nepal trek & Expedition. Our trip started from a short flight that took us from Kathmandu into the Khumbu Valley.  The team from Amazing Nepal Trek & Expedition, the guide and porter were there to help us on every step. We got the best service from the day we booked the package right until the day we flew back from Nepal. The inquiries were answered to promptly with helpful tips and recommendation through emails. My friend and I had such a memorable time during the trek. The hospitality and care received from the team, was amazing as the name is.  We are grateful for all what they had done. Once again, Thanks a lot, Amazing Nepal Team

Amazing Trek Nepal Truly Live Up to Their Name!

We had a wonderful Everest Base Camp trip with Amazing Trek Nepal during the monsoon season in July-August of 2022. It rained a little, but the solitude we experienced on the trails, tea houses and huts was astonishing! I would definitely go during monsoon again. On the trip, we were met at the airport by the Amazing Trek Nepal team on our arrival and everything was taken care of to the smallest detail by the great team managed by Santosh, our guide Binöd and porter Kamal. Binöd took great care of us through the whole trip, including meeting all our special requests, and even a last minute request to change our itinerary at the end of our trip. The trip was amazing and the whole team was great! We will use Amazing Trek Nepal in our future treks in Nepal without a doubt. Highly professional and efficient agency with incredibly nice, helpful and authentic tour guide and porters

Amazing Nepal Trek and Adventure outdid themselves when it came to ensuring our trip was all that we hoped it would be.

We were in touch with Santosh very early during our planning phase of the trip and he made sure we received all the information we needed to prepare. He was attentive to our needs and took care of many of the details of the trip such travel logistics, lodging, our 1 day tour in Kathmandu and trek itinerary.

Most of all we were incredibly pleased with him for assigning us the best guide we could ask for Tej and our very pleasant porters Suman and Lila which made all the difference.

During our hike, Tej was not only friendly and approachable but he would motivate us to push through when the hike got tough and clearly communicated what to expect each day. He was super knowledgeable about the path and could make timely decisions on how to adapt our schedule daily taking into consideration our needs, capabilities and limitations.
I personally felt supported and safe with his guidance - whether it was choosing a safer path with less risk of land slides or removing a huge centipede from our guesthouse room!
As an amateur hiker, carrying too much weight was something that daunted me. Both Suman and Lila not only helped us with our load but they also doubled up as our cheerleaders. With their optimism and willingness to connect with us they helped us through the toughest times. As some of us were ahead and some of us were slightly behind on the trek, it was great to have Suman step up to walk close with us and make sure we were okay on the path. We felt all 3 of them worked so well in tandem and the 6 of us formed a bond over the 9 days of hiking.

Whether you’re a seasoned or amateur hiker, i highly recommend choosing Amazing Nepal Trek and especially Tej as your guide as well as Suman and Lila to help!!

Excellent team. Couldn't be more happier.

Glad I made my choice with "Amazing Nepal Trek" team, Santosh was very prompt and clear with his replies and it made very simple to unerdstand. Guide was Tej, a fun guide, very knowledgeable with his ways around the trek and the mountains. Managed us really well with food, lodges and trek timings, and physicality. They both speak good English. And the porters T-laj and Eka was very hardworking and went the extra-mile as an assistant guide of the group as well and looking out after us and bringing out the positive energy. It made us feel confident to go ahead with the trek. Very2 nice people.
