Muktinath Heli Tour includes a comfortable helicopter flight to the sacred temple renowned to be a Mukti Kshetra-the place of liberation- among Hindu devotees. Arriving at Pokhara from Kathmandu, catch this 45 min flight to Muktinath Temple flying over a diversified terrain starting from cramped city spaces of Pokhara city onto barren valleys. Here the Kali Gandaki River flows through the hills all the way from Nhubine Himal Glacier. Our helicopter lands by the Kali Gandaki River in Rani Pauwa and a short jeep ride takes you to the Muktinath temple premise. After bathing in holy waters and concluding the usual rituals, we will have some spare time. Lower Mustang has a lot in store with the sublime views of gloomy settlement and apple farms. Make sure to try the Marpha dried apples popular in this region. After an excursion of about 3 hours, we head back to Pokhara and spend the next day going around this beautiful city famous among tourists. Heading back to Kathmandu we wrap up this tour of the Mustang region.

Programme Itinerary:

05:30 AM – Hotel Pickup and Transfer to Airport
Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Kathmandu (or Pokhara) and transfer you to the domestic terminal of the airport.

06:30 AM – Pre-Flight Briefing and Boarding
Receive a short safety and tour briefing before boarding the helicopter. Prepare for breathtaking aerial views.

07:00 AM – Helicopter Flight to Muktinath
Fly over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, the world’s deepest Kali Gandaki Gorge, and the desert-like terrain of Lower Mustang. The flight lasts approximately 45–60 minutes.

08:00 AM – Arrive at Muktinath Helipad & Temple Visit
Land near the temple and proceed for 1–1.5 hours of exploration and worship. Take a holy bath under the 108 water spouts, visit the eternal flame, and enjoy the serene Himalayan surroundings.

09:30 AM – Return Helicopter Flight to Kathmandu/Pokhara
Board the helicopter for your return journey, enjoying more scenic views of the Himalayas and Mustang region.

10:30 AM – Arrival at Airport and Hotel Transfer
Land at the airport and transfer back to your hotel. Tour ends with a heart full of blessings and unforgettable memories.

Best Time to Visit:

The Muktinath Helicopter Day Tour is available throughout the year, but the best seasons are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to December). These months offer clear skies and favorable weather for both scenic flights and temple visits. Winter (January and February) is also possible, though temperatures can be very cold at high altitudes.

Flight Duration & Route:

The tour typically starts early in the morning from Kathmandu or Pokhara, depending on your preference. From Kathmandu, the flight to Muktinath and back takes around 3 to 3.5 hours, while from Pokhara it is about 1 to 1.5 hours. The helicopter lands near Muktinath Temple, allowing you ample time for darshan and exploration.

Altitude Consideration:

Muktinath Temple is situated at an altitude of 3,710 meters (12,172 feet). While the short stay usually prevents major altitude-related issues, it's advisable to stay hydrated, move slowly, and inform your guide if you feel any discomfort.
